CALL FOR PAPERS: Idea Journal 2025 — Unplanned Interiors

The 2025 issue of Idea Journal seeks text-based research essays that offer new knowledge on unplanned interior projects and their images. It asks authors to examine how such projects reflect new social and cultural conditions of their time. It also invites image-based research essays that respond to, comment on, and reflect ideas of unplanned spatial practices. See the full Call for Papers HERE.

It is with great pleasure that we announce the 2024 issue of Idea Journal has been published. This issue sought theoretical, historical, and experimental analyses of unbuilt interior environments.

Welcome to our new editorial assistants

We are so pleased to welcome four new editorial assistants joining us in their honours year of Interior Design at RMIT.

All four bring an interest in research and publishing and are developing and implementing strategies to get students more involved with Idea Journal in the future.
